Our History
CWA Construction, Inc. was organized in 1998 to fill a need expressed by some of Herb Cross' engineering clients for a more accountable construction process. CWA Construction, Inc. provides design/build, construction management, and general construction services.
Our Mission & Philosophy
CWA's mission is to provide construction and design-build services, at fair and market competitive prices to our clients and to ensure the longevity and profitability of CWA. Our company is committed to establishing lasting relationships with our customers by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through our integrity and quality workmanship.
CWA Construction's reputation has been built by providing high quality construction services in a professional manner to complete functional projects. Our construction philosophy is to provide completed projects in accordance with the plans and specifications, within the established budgets and schedules. We believe the ultimate success of building a project depends upon complete communication and cooperation between the owner, the design team, and the construction team.
Personnel
Offices and yard are maintained at 8801 Woodway Drive-Suite D., Waco, Texas. Our office staff consists of a licensed engineer, three estimator/project managers, and office manager and an administrative assistant. Our full-time field personnel consist of (5) five superintendents, an assistant superintendent, (2) two carpenter foremen, a driver/expeditor, and several other carpenters and labors. Additional personnel are added as needed.

HOTGBI (Heart O' Texas Green Building Initiative) - Green Building - LEED Consulting
Sustainable construction is a trend that is definitely here to stay. CWA Construction, Inc. is on the forefront of Green Building. We are committed to providing solutions that incorporate energy efficiency, maintainability, and value. Having a LEED AP design engineer and a LEED AP BD+C estimator/project manager on staff allows CWA's professionals achieve the clients targeted LEED level goals or green building ratings. CWA will help guide you through the trends and technologies available for sustainable design and construction and evaluate the cost options for your project.
The HOTGBI (Heart O' Texas Green Building Initiative) is a group of local building professionals that have taken the steps towards improving green design and construction in this area. This group advocates the education and implementation of 'green' building concepts and methods in our local community. We are proud to say that our employees are the founders of this group and currently hold the chair and vice-chair positions of the executive committee.
